Full story is on FB, but the short version is that we loved Mt Kenya. It was everything that Mt Kilimanjaro was not. Beautiful trails, .01% of the trash that Mt Kilimanjaro had and 1% of the people. We were the only ones on the summits and at three of our five camps our group was the only group there. At our camp on the way out there was only one other party there.

Kate and I both went to Lehana summit, the third highest point on Mt Kenya and the trekking route. I went on to climb Batian and Nelion summits, the highest and second highest points on the mountain. These challenging climbs required extensive rock climbing and mountaineering skills.
